Potty training you German Shepherd puppy goes hand in hand with the Crate Training. As soon as you take your German Shepherd puppy out of the crate, take him to directly to his designated bathroom area, which you have chosen to be his bathroom area. The designated area could be a special place in the yard or a pee pad, which you have place at a special place in the house. The chance are that your puppy will go to the bathroom immediately as the puppy will refuse to go back inside the crate.
Another rule for you to remember is that after you serve your puppy his food and drink, take him to his designated bathroom area within 10 minutes of your puppy completing his meal.
German Shepherds are very intelligent dogs and they will soon catch on and learn their daily schedule. You will soon see that they will eventually begin to seek out this schedule on their own. You are going to notice this they will being to scratch the door to tell you or immediately go to their designated area on their own. Once this stage is reached then this means that you have successfully potty trained your German Shepherd puppy.
